Hi Heather I strongly recommend the HTML bibles from Optasia Ministries for the Braille Note. These bibles can be loded onto your BN and used very effectively with Keyweb, allowing you to jump to the desired book, chapter and verse in a flash from anywhere in the Bible. When you press a letter on the keyboard, Keyweb jumps to the first link it finds starting with that letter. So, from anywhere in the bible, you could press t for Table of Contents, enter, and then the letter corresponding to the first letter of the book you want a few times quickly till it gets you to the right book and enter, and then the first digit of the chapter you want a few times till you get to the right chapter and enter. Sounds like a lot of keys to press, but its nothing compared to the number of pages a sighted user normally needs to turn to get to the bit of the bible they want!
Optasia Ministries offers 14 versions of the Bible as part of their free Library DVD or CD collection. Once you register with them, they will post you the library for free in your choice of CD Rom or DVD and also e-mail you individual versions of the Bible to get you started. Visit www.optasia.org to get started. Hope this helps Laurent -----Original Message----- From: Heather Freeman [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 07 March 2010 18:32 To: [email protected] Subject: [Braillenote] Bible for BrailleNote mPower Hi everyone. I just received my BrailleNote mPower a couple weeks ago, so I'm new to the list as well. Does anyone know of a good Bible program for the BrailleNote?
