Why not just copy it into the Apex so it's always handy?

I have a Bible that I refer to a lot on an SD card. Is there any reason I
can't just leave it in my Apex, so I'm not always taking it in and out?
Will it do any harm to the card or the unit? Will it use a lot of
battery?
