We have finally found the solution for using a Romeo Attache with a BrailleNote mPower. It was mostly ok, but there were significant and random chunks of text missing from longer documents. After much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth with heroic tech support from both Humanware and Enabling Technologies, Cheryl from Enabling arrived at the solution. Thank you Cheryl! You must use a parallel to USB adapter. We purchased the adapter from Enabling Technologies, but you can probably also find it online. It is the CablesToGo USB to C36 IEEE-1284 Parallel Adapter Model No. 16898. Set the embosser to parallel and the BN to USB.
We've never seen this problem with other embossers, so the problem appears to be unique to the Attache.
