Hi,
A petition would draw attention to the closeness of KeySoft's development interface. Usually more demand and effort by the users means acknowledgements from the developers. As for dialog interface, I would say that it was more of an arrangement of a dialog box to KeySoft's interface. Also, under Apex, it is slower to move from control to control in a dialog. Oh well, we'll see (I'm bringing up the SDK matters on the chat anyway...).
Cheers,
Joseph

Not sure how much good a petition would do. As to dialogs, I really wish they would make a better, keysoft menu-like interface for that sort of dialog. Right now, it seems like someone threw a quick ks wrapper over the cpp generating the dialog, or just grabbed the dialog output and forced it into ks-friendly data structs. I think the whole thing should be made to feel like a part of keysoft, getting rid of the using space to get to inputs and buttons and all that. Fill in the data and then exit; say yes or no to the resulting prompt to submit data. Anyway, I guess me going on about this is not going to help fix
it; SDK!!

Hi,
In my opinion, I support your notion. Also, I think:
* The Network Place/Browse function should accecpt FTP addresses.
* If an FTP site has been opened, it should ask the user to open
this in File Manager mode or via browser mode. If password is
required, then we might use a Web-Braille-like interface for
getting the password and passing it to the server. Same can be
done with SSH (the interface might look like a dialog box).
Well, as you've said, I'm ready to start a new petition (the
competetor's is out of the question; all we need is right
phrasing and timing for HW.).
Cheers,
Joseph

Personally, I would love to see a keyweb menu, containing web
browser,
ftp, and similar options. After logging in, ftp would act just
like
the file manager > directory option, but using the remote host
set up
in the configuration. No, better yet, use this app to connect,
or just
stick it in the connectivity menu, then all connected ftp hosts
appear
as drives so keysoft can use them like any other drive. Talk
about
integration... Come on, SDK!!

 Hi Jack and list,
I agree with Alex - I cannot reproduce the upload functionality
unless someone gives us their instructions...
As for FTP, it is possible to view FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
sites; the effect would be viewing it on Internet Explorer on
your computer. However, you cannot manipulate the content of
the
FTP server e.g. adding files, renaming folders, etc. A
possible
route would be extension of network access functionality to FTP
sites so that, when a user types an FTP address from either
KeyWeb's address bar or via Network Place prompt, there would be
an option to view the server content as though browsing the
directory structure on the BrailleNote (this algorithm would be
somewhat faster to implement; all HW needs to do is add an
option
under somewhere in KeySoft to allow this subroutine to come
 alive).

 Joseph

 Hey folks.
Was kind of hoping someone would reply to the list with an
answer
 to this
as it's something I had rather wanted to know myself. Also does
 keyweb
support FTP?? As far as I can determine it doesn't. Bummer
 anyway if Mike
would be so kind as to send me the instructions on how to do
this
 upload
files with key web I shore would appreciate it.
 Thanks and God Bless

  Hi again everyone,
I just tried to upload a file from the braillenote, using the
 directions that
Robbert and a few other people gave me. I'm pleased to
announce
 that it
worked perfectly. Thanks to everyone, who answered my
question.
