I totally agree that this would be enormously helpful; however, I've found a fairly convenient solution. If you create a Gmail account to which emails sent to your regular address are forwarded and view the attachment on the Gmail website, you should be able to read it. I've heard this also works for PDF attachments, though I've never tried it.

Hope this helps!

Subject: [Braillenote] BN and Word 2007 Documents

Hi listers. I was wondering if a work-around could be considered
for when one receives attachments in Word 2007 during the
downloading of emails onone's BN. I don't know if the Apex
accepts Word 2007 documents, but I have an MPower and when I open
up a Word 2007 one just gets a dollar sign, lge and then nothing.

It would be useful if a work-around could be included so that one
doesn't need to transfer the documents to the pc and back again,
but could save the documents as text or any other format on the
BN itself. What do people think?

Michele
