Hi Linda,
I'm basing my comments on the Apex since that's the only BrailleNote I've
ever used.

The user guide is a bit of a strange beast with navigation rules different
from the word processor or book reader. According to said user guide, you
navigate by sentence by pressing the space bar with dot 1, dots 1 and 4,
or dot 4. Apparently some of the thumb key functionality doesn't work
there. Also, as you've discovered, the Space with F "Find" command
apparently doesn't work either. I think the only way to get to a new
section in a different chapter is to hit the Backspace key to move back to
the table of contents or index and then walk your way to the section you
want. You can step from section to section, at least in the current
chapter, by hitting Space with dots 1-2-3 or Space with dots 4-5-6.

There is a folder on your Flash disk called "Manual" that has text files
of each chapter of the manual, and those you can navigate normally with
the book reader or word processor.

I hope this is somewhat helpful.

Regards,
Jerry

Subject
[Braillenote] Navigating Braille Note User Guide

Hi everyone!

Can someone tell me why I am not able to use my left thumb key to
go back a sentence in the user guide? It seems to take me out
completely. Also, is there a way to do a search when you are
reading the user guide and it says something like, "See chapter
7?"

Thanks.

Linda
