Hi, Well, your best bet is simply to press one of the two middle thumb
keys to resume reading.
This will maintain your place in the document.

Hi, hitting space takes you back to the start because this is where your
cursor is.  When you use the thumb keys to move through a document the
cursor doesn't follow so when you press a key it goes to where ever the
cursor is.  I'm not sure how to get rid of the time and go back to where
you were reading from but hopefully someone else can help with that
because I would also like to know because this has also happened to me.
