I haven't used NFB News Line, but I can tell you what the Book Reader is
for. First, it lets you look at braille and text files in a read-only
mode so you won't accidentally make changes when your intent is strictly
to read. This is great for web braille or Project Gutenberg files you
might download just for reading purposes. I often also use it to check
information in my own files when I have no intention of making changes but
just want to look at something.

Book Reader also lets you read DAISY talking books like the books you can
read on your Victor Reader Stream.

Regards,
Jerry

re: [Braillenote] newspapers from BookShare?

If you get your newspapers sent to you from NFB Newsline and they
go into your Keymail email, why is it necessary to put them in
the book reader? Is there a reason to do this rather than just
read it from your email? I haven't ever used the book reader yet
so don't really know its purpose. Using the book reader is still
on the flash disk, right? So it isn't freeing up any space is it?
I'm truly asking out of complete ignorance. I must be a slow
learner.
Oh, I have the mPower 7.5, 31.

It all comes unzipped in your regular email, right? The
newspapers I mean. And are their dates there?
