Hello all,

We have identified an issue with apex QT and BT 18 cell models. As
described here a press of the cursor routing key will announce and move
the cursor to the cell 7 or 8 cells to the right. A software resolution
to this is in final testing and will be made available soon.

I invite everyone to join the BrailleNote news wire announcement list
which is the best way to learn when issues such as this, or any other
BrailleNote news, is available. You can sign up by going to

And clicking on the link that says "To keep up to date register to the

Kind regards,

Subject: [Braillenote] Routing Cursor Issue

Hello listers. I received my BrailleNote Apex BT with 18-cell braille
display, 5 days ago. I'm now in a process of learning all the functions
and features.  This is my fresh experience on Humanware note taker;
"before I'm using a blazie note taker".

An issue I found on my unit is the "routing Cursor" does not working as
it should. "Let me explain the situation".

When I press the "Routing Button", the cursor does not appear at the
cell where it suppose to appear. E.g, if I pressed the 1st button, the
cursor will land at the 8th cell, if I pressed the 2nd button, the
cursor will land at the 9th cell and so on. In other word, I'm unable
to rout the cursor to the 1st untill 7th cell using the buttons.
Moreover, I'm also unable to use the 12th until 18th button to controll
the cursor. The routing cursor works fantesticly with keyboard
navigation.

Is there any setting I missed? If anyone here experience the same
issue, please share some tips to overcome the problem. To all the
BrailleNote experts, please give advice and suggestions.

Your help is so much appreciated
