Hello Carol, google mail works really good with both Keyweb and key mail. With keyweb, the mobal setting can simplify the viewing of the messages but there may be things that don't work correctly. One thing I've noticed is with the trash folder. In mobal setting you can mark messages and go to delete them but they will not be deleted. If you go into basic HTML setting you are actually able to mark the messages and delete them. The basic HTML setting gives you a better access of more features. But, there are still some things that don't properly show up. especially in the different settings. With those things you have to use a PC or a laptop to access them. Even on a PC and or laptop some settings are very well hidden. You sometimes serch to find what you are looking for. Note to people who are using GTalk on Keychat. Unless the setting in your GMail account is turned off to not keep the chat history it will keep a copy of every chat session that you have in Keychat. You have two options to avoid this. You can go to: www.gmail.com with keyweb or on a regular computer and manually delete your chat history or you can change the setting for your chat history to not be saved at all. Again, that will have to be done on a PC. As far as I can tell that setting can't be accessed with the bn. Well, not with the MPower anyway. You might be able too with the Apex. As far as Keymail, google works just great.
The settings are as follows.
Pop Server: pop.gmail.com
Secure Connection For Pop: yes
Smtp Server smtp.gmail.com
Secure Connection For Smtp: Yes
Smtp Authentication Required: Yes
Pop Port: 995
Smtp Port: 465

I hope this helps.
Sincerely,
John

Subject: [Braillenote] APEX WITH GOOGLEMAIL

Hi all,

Having seen mention of folk using this combination, I decided to
have a go
today and was pleasantly surprised that, at least, I got to the
point of
being able to read a few important messages, delete some others
and find my
way to the mobile site.

I am not a power user of Googlemail, preferring to download to my
computer
when at home, but would welcome some input from those using it
with Apex or
any other BN about the settings (standard HTML or whatever) that
are most
useful to us. Also, if you know something doesn't work, this
would save me
from finding out the harder way, since I probably don't know how
to do it
already and, if I try, I may not understand whether in fact it
does or does
not work with BN.

Thanks for any tips and tricks.
