Dear BrailleNote users, HumanWare staff and others: I'm delighted to announce the official launch of BrailleNote PBWorks version 7.0! Hosting rewritten Support Hotline articles, more interconnected contents and integrating VoiceNote Apex features, this release is one of the most exciting release yet. The release also lays the foundation and coding that allows me (with help from users) to connect more articles and streamline the table of contents for ease of navigating long articles. New in this version include: * Support Hotline Device View: A new way of viewing Support Hotline articles based on your particular BrailleNote model. * Table of Contents: For navigating long articles with ease by jumping directly to a desired section. * New Support Hotline articles, including a short Command Summary, Technical Specifications of various BrailleNote models and so forth. * Redesigned article base featuring BrailleNote Apex's core features. * The Seventh BrailleNote Chat - the recording is now available. And other minor enhancements, such as decreased load time and viewing a mobile version of the website when using KeyWeb. Also, for those who are wondering what's new since last Beta version: * A new section, named "programs by BrailleNote users" is now added to Program Library. This is mainly used to host programs that users, such as Alex and myself have created for BrailleNote family (at least for use with web browser). As of release of 7.0, it hosts a link to Alex's Games and Programs link at Gateway2Somewhere website. * A new news item about the release of the VoiceNote Apex (under Apex Corner) is now available. In addition, the Tech Specs article was updated to reflect the VN's release. * Some minor spelling errors were corrected on some articles, as well as updated the Hardware Compatibility List to include latest memory technology sizes as of 2010. As always, the website is braillenote.pbworks.com. I'd like to take this time to thank the list members for sending me encouragements, feedback and errors that I've made on and about the site. The website couldn't have come more alive without your help and suggestions. As always, I welcome suggestions and comments on the website (thanks goes especially to Mr. David M. for his valuable comments). Thanks and hope you enjoy the updated content on the website. Sincerely, Joseph S. Lee University of California, Riverside Email: [email protected] or [email protected] Blog: Musings of a Blind Highlander (joslee22590.blogspot.com)
