Good Summer Morning to All,

A short reminder to any of you who may want to avoid a slip of fast fingers to braille keys that accidentally pull you out of a file in progress, and alarmingly lose your flurry of inspired fast pace writing.

If you don't want to accidentally "Loose Changes" by your flurry of keys, just do this.

Just press back-space s once every couple of minutes, and presto, you've Saved yourself much consternation and woe.

Yes, you knew that already, right?

Beautiful day to you all.

Hi Jack,

You are exactly right. I know there is wisdom in programming Keysoft the way it is. I too greatly appreciate the "back-space Q" functionality to stop the accidental saving of messed-up files. And I've used this often. But in all honesty, there are other "flying finger" combinations that are not so friendly. Eight years with Classic and then Empower, and I still haven't learned to slow down, or save documents enough. I'm "on top of it now," however, and Thank You for the right perspective.

Yours,

David

Since the Braillenote does not have an undo function, it can be
very helpful
if you accidentally delete a large chunk of your document and
want to get
out of it and recover the saved version. If you just go to the
main menu,
you've just saved the messed up version of the document on the
flash drive
on top of your good version. Quit without saving keeps that from
happening.

Of course, I forgot to say, I'm always having to answer no to
that question. But I wonder why the programmers even allow such
a question to be asked. Who wants to work and work, and then
have the Voice Note ask, do you want to "lose changes?" I love
my unit, but hate that it will let the user lose changes by just
accidentally coming out of the file.
