Hi folks, particularly BrailleNote users, I'm delighted to announce that a major revision of BrailleNote PBWorks (braillenote.pbworks.com) is under development. This update is in response to a recent Humanware paper on using BrailleNote Apex as a braille display with a wide variety of computers, operating systems and screen readers. Here's what's planned: * An entirely new article on using BrailleNote as a braille display, specifically for Windows Vista and 7 users and users of Mobile Speak and similar screen readers. With help from Mike Welty (if he is availible), i plan to include sections for Mac users. This also means a rewrite of the Bluetooth braille display article, or an option to combine these two into one article (it's up to you to tell me). * Few more websites: Two or more new sections under Web Terminal is planned: one on using websites such as Ebuddy for sending and receiving messages, and another one concerning resources from HumanWare for BrailleNote users. * A table of updated comparisons: A brand new table and article on comparisons between popular products is planned (complementing Alex H.'s notes). The projected release time is sometime in August. If you have comments, please let me know (so that I can think about it and write the content while balancing out C++ assignments).
