Hello All,
I am interested to know, if this drive you have will work with
the Apex.
For I have a 1 tb drive made by Iomega, and it has a power
supply, but it will not work with my Apex.
I can only use it with the pc.
I have tried, with just the usb cable it came with, as well as
the usb cable connected to a power cable, and the Apex is not
able to recognize it.
Hth,

Hi,
If I'm right, it should work with an mPower. In a case of 3.5
inch one, you
need to tell your friend to connect the hard drive to an AC
outlet when
connecting to the mPower; if it is a 2.5 inch one, your friend
does not have
to. In case of Apex, there is a power supply issue with larger
drives, thus
requiring either an AC cord or so-called "y adapter" which has a
USB plug
for the hard disk and two USB plugs for a host computer e.g.
apex.
Cheers,
Joseph
