Hi all,
I have had my Apex since February of this year. While the unit itself
is fine, except for the software bugs, the case is far from fine, and
it really frustrates me.

1. The magnets used to close the top flap, which I appreciate very
much in place of velcro, have come detached from their mounts and now
slide around inside the case. Usually they will stay long enough for
me to get the case closed, but sometimes one, two, or all three will
slip out of place and require me to find them and maneuver them back
into position. I usually have to do this a couple times.

2. The way I almost always wear my Apex, and so the way I use it while
I am wearing it, is by putting the strap over my right shoulder and
letting the unit hang across me, at my left side. This allows me to
leave it at my side while not in use, where it cannot get hurt if I
run into something and where I can very easily use my left arm to
shield it from potential harm. At the same time, it lets me quickly
pull it into position in front of me to look something up or type
something. With the Apex case, though, doing this often results in the
left front corner of the Apex itself popping out of the left front
corner of the case. I am extremely afraid that I will not catch this
one day and the whole thing will fall from its case and onto the
ground. The only way to partially avoid this is to hang the case
around my neck, so that the weight is borne by both sides evenly.
However, this position is uncomfortable to walk in and, more
importantly, greatly increases the risk of the Apex hitting something
(such as an open door or a pole) that I miss with the cane.

I wrote this for two reasons: first, I wonder if I am alone in my case
woes and if buying a new case would solve my problem, and second as a
warning to others who may carry the Apex in the same way: keep an eye
(or finger) on the front corners to make sure the unit is not coming
out of the case if the case is open.
