I have mine connected as a braille display. I run JAWS on the PC with
XP Home. I didn't have to sync anything or download drivers. Perhaps
Jenny will let us know if she is running a screen reader that already
has the ability to connect the unit.

Hi,
If I remember right, you need to change the ActiveSync connection setting to
one other than USB from your BrailleNote. Go to main Menu/Utilities/Misc
Options. The first option is to changing ActiveSync connection method.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Using Apex as Braille Display
Hi Listers
I am trying to set up the Apex as a Braille display.
So far I have downloaded and unzipped the drivers from Humanware. Then I
connect the cable and press T from the main menu on the Apex and u then
enter. The Apex beeps but there is nothing happening at the netbook end. I
can sink the Apex and Netbook with no problem. Though. I'm running Windows
XP on the Netbook.
What can I try, Perhaps I haven't set up the partnership properly? Any
suggestions would be gratefully received.
Kind Regards
Jenny Dawson
