Nicole, I am not sure why the backspace isn't working. I do know that if you hit the backspace, it appears that the cursor is moving forward instead of backward. I have also learned that if you hit the space bar with dot2 the iphone goes to the previous on the screen, like when you use your finger to flick. When you use dot5 it seems to go to the next item.
