Ok so I now know which reset Joseph is talking about. I can't think of any reason why an apex user would would need to do this reset. If I am not mistaken it erases all of the extensions one may have including dictionary, gps and in my case the nemeth code tutorial.

Subject: [Braillenote] Apex: Warning - DO NOT PERFORM ROM RESET AT WRONGTIMES!!!

Hi,
Just spoke to a list member who said that she lost her dictionary extension after performing ROM reset on her Apex. In order to have the extension back, you need to reinstall the extension in question. This is one of those that I believe confuses people - the ROM Reset procedure between mPower and Apex produces different results - under Apex, it erases the KeySoft extensions and is more destructive than that of mPower. This is one of those reasons why I've warned people not to carry out this procedure at wrong times and am
sort of afraid to give you the hack to changing system sounds.
Cheers,
Joseph
