The mountbatten brailler will work with the braillenote with a serial
connection (make sure that you're using the serial port on the side of the
Mountbatten, rather than the one on the back). You also need to change the
handshaking setting in your embosser setup list. In Embosser setup, change
the handshaking from software to hardware. On the mountbatten, use COMMAND
EM ENTER to turn embossing mode on or off (allows the Mountbatten to emboss
more quickly).

Hi, I think you are talking about the Mount batten brailler. I
have one but could only get it to work by the parallel cable on
my Classic so haven't been able to use it since I have upgraded.
There maybe an adapter that you can buy but I don't know. I did
try using the cereal port but only got some of the lines come
out.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [Braillenote] Brailler/Embosser that Works with the BN?

Years ago, I used a smaller, electric Brailler. I seem to recall
that it could also be used as an embosser. However, I cannot
remember the name. Does anyone know what I am talking about and
if it would work as an embosser for the bn?

Thanks,
Nicole
