Hi,
Personally, Apex has not shown its potential (as of now). From what I read
for the past year, HIMS is indeed taking advantage of offered hardware and
is doing a good job with user interface and experience; however, as some on
the other list pointed out, the formatting support and reading tasks could
be an issue with these products, something that Apex handles well (with some
internet issues). As another lister said, I really hope the next upgrade
would fix a lot of issues and bring Apex's potential to light.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Apex Revisited

Dear all,

Earlier this year I caved in and went for the Braille Sense Plus. I've
mostly enjoyed the experience, but not all is right in paradise. The
reading experience has a little to be desired what with the strange
formatting issues, and the device freezes up on me while on the Internet,
perhaps more than I appreciate. At any rate, now that the Apex has been out
in the market for a year, I'm curious to hear your experiences. I'm not
looking for a bashing of the product. I still own an mPowewr and know it to
be a fairly decent device, but I'm looking for some shortcomings to help me
better evaluate whether a trade-in is something even worth entertaining. I
also understand there's a software upgrade in the works, and I'm curious to
know how many of these glitches are expected to be resolved with that
release. I hope my post makes sense, and I appreciate and welcome your
input.

Best,

Joe
