Hello Joseph,
Absolutely not a computer when compared with a personal desk
top, laptop, notebook, or even one of the cell phones available
today. It's not even in the same category; it's just a very,
very expensive PDA. I can't even read those instructional (I
think) pod casts you put on the internet because I don't have a
PC, just an Apex and a BSP.

PS, my opinion does not mean I don't like and enjoy my Apex or
Braille Sense Plus, but to me they are not computers by
definition, just a device which helps me with my e-mail and the
word-processors are fantastic. Also, I've been told that they
are ready to use much quicker than it takes a PC to "boot-up"
(whatever that means).

Subject: [Braillenote] Survey: Is BrailleNote a computer?
Hi,
Just wanted to find out your opinions:
Do you consider BrailleNote (any model) a computer or not? If so,
what's
your thoughts and reasons? The responses of this question will be
used as
part of an upcoming PBWorks FAQ and/or as part of the next blog
post.
Cheers,
Joseph
