Hear hear Tom. Well said sir and I completely agree. It is in
fact the end users responsibility to know the consequences of
these commands. If you don't, well that's why this list is here!
For instance I had no idea that one could go to a dos prompt
until Alex mentioned it in relation to something else. This is a
command slash technique that has proved useful more than once.
This of course can be found NOWHERE in the manual.
I could go on but I'm sure yall get the point.
My Very Best To All
Jack

Hi Joseph,
Thanks for posting those commands; it's good stuff.
I've said this before and I won't hesitate to say it again. I
know you're
reluctant to post such things for fear that someone will screw up
their
BrailleNotes and so on. That's all well and good, but it's my
considered
opinion, for whatever it's worth, that you or anybody else who's
so
inclineed should feel free to post similar information, and
should not be
held liable for whatever happens if someone wants to try any
particular
commands. Anybody wishing to try them out should do so at their
own risk,
and no one, repeat NO ONE, should try any of them without knowing
the
possible consequences, if any. Secretiveness regarding any
command or
procedure benefits no one and only contributes to the perception
that those
who know them are in some way priveleged, elitist, call it what
you will.
Put it all out there, I say, and let the end user take full
responsibility
for whatever happens.
Tom

Hi,
I did this to let you know (at least) that the QT equivalent of
BT
commands Josh Klander gave us does exist.
I'll say this plainly then with the following disclaimer: I'm
not
responsible with your unit due to deletion of data with these
commands.
* BACKSPACE with R: CTRL with FN with R.
* BACKSPACE with ER: CTRL with FN with E.
The former restores flash files from ROM while the second
formats Flash.
Because of the nature of these commands, I'll say no more on
this for a
while.
Cheers,
Joseph

Why say anything at all? I'm not sure what the point of this
message was.

found!
Hi folks, mostly Apex users,
At last I found the QT equivalent to Support Info comamdns that
Josh Klander posted few months ago. Because of the nature of
these functions, I cannot give you the actual commands - using
them at wrong times would have consequences on your data.
Cheers,
Joseph
