Hi, listers.

Just wanted to comment on the conversation about the new upgrade. I
agree that everything is hearsay until we hear from HW, but the
problem is, when it comes to conversations on this list, we don't hear
from HW. I'm finding that a lot of conversations and debates we have
on the list are ones where a staff member of HW might be able to add
some helpfull insight to. So, where's the HW staffer who's monitoring
this list and will he/she come out of his/her shell and post something
to this list that might be able to help our listers with their BN
problems? Until then, our only option when all else fails on the list
is to call tech support, which doesn't always give us the full answer
to our problems, at least the ones that work. Case in point, my
printer problem. I called them twice while trying to get it to work,
and the first person I talked to told me to do a 4-5-6 reset (the same
thing a couple listers told me to do) and said to hold the 4-5-6 keys
until the music starts, which I didn't originally understand. Then,
she said gdbye to me and hung up. After I did the reset, I tried
going in the settings again. Then, I got an error message that said,
"printer error: the filename, directory name, or volume label syntax
is incorrect." I called them again, and the second person told me to
do the reset again, then hung up. When it still didn't work, I
decided to try it again the next day. I did, and it still didn't
work. So I called HW again, and after holding for about 5 minutes, it
put me on voicemail. I left a message with my phone number, and they
have yet to call me back. Is there any HW staff member who could help
us out here? I'm sure the guy with the sincing problem could use
their help, too. Bottom line, earth to HW staff!

Chris
