I don't see this as off topic at all, Alex.
I think it is important for users to know what is and isn't available.
Humanware, or any company, should not just sit on their laurels (or behinds
for that matter), but should try to keep up-to-date.
Yup, pdf seems relevant to me.

Subject: [Braillenote] update to Braille Sense expected
Hi all,
Just FYI. The Apex brought the bn family way ahead in the never-ending
race for note-taking supremacy... but now, HIMS has just made an
announcement that may cause their Braille Sense line to pull ahead.
Perhaps the Apex will still be faster and have the new CE6, but this
announcement will provide real features that users can actually
experience, not intangibles like "well, it should be faster and have more
possibilities".
The announcement is vague at this point, but it says the version 6 of the
Sense firmware will include new features: a Twitter application, EPUB
support, and PDF reading. We have EPUB in 9.1, but PDF reading is a
long-sought feature which Humanware has, for no apparent reason, left out.
Twitter is not useful for everyone, but it is one more way to plug into
the social networking tools that are now so popular.
Yes, this is somewhat off-topic, but I wanted to let people know so that,
if nothing else, we can put the pressure on hw to give us pdf support, at
least. After all, they don't want to fall behind, right?
Have a great day,
Alex (msg sent from BrailleNote
