Hi all,
This might not be good. It involves the Apex and it's battery.
I was online, surfing as usual. Then, when it locked up, the
page wouldn't load, I hit reset, and noticed that it took a *
very * long time for the cells to fade from displaying the page.
When they did fade, it didn't actually reset, the cells just
stayed spongey as if it were turned off, even though the switch
was actually set in the on position. When I tried to reset
again, it didn't do anything. I tried turning it off and back
on, still nothing. As the adapter had been plugged in, I
unplugged and tried replugging it in. Still didn't work. A
hardware reset did nothing. Finally I had to get my mom to help
me remove and reinsert the battery, which reset it, did the
memory scan, and now everything's OK.
This is... rather scary to me, as I just got the unit Monday.
Now, I haven't been letting the battery get low, as I've been
charging it every night to make sure I have enough juice for the
next school day. Should I? My other question is: What's going on
here and if it happens again, what should I do?
