Hi all,

I've resolved the issue thanks to the excellent archive of this list.  Earlier 
this month, someone else posted details of a problem (resulting in error code 
9; one I've also encountered).  The solution to that, namely to unpack on a 
host computer and move files to the Apex solved the issue.

I unpack each Bookshare Daisy book into its own folder, and then move them 
across to an SD card and thence to the Apex's flash disk/My Books folder, and 
all works well.

So it would seem that the unpack process is broken on the device.  If any 
Humanware staff are monitoring, an addendum to either the manual or FAQ page 
might be in order.
