Hi,
I think, for the benefit of the list, I'll keep it on here.
To find the chatroom and the required software, go to www.blindcooltech.com, then go to Chat link. As for Skype, I think we should do it if the plug-in for Mac (Tim's case) does not work.
Cheers,
Joseph

Hi everyone,

Tim, I could do the Skype thing. Josh also asked me to do it, so I think it would work. I sent you a contact request, so you should get one from the Skype name christopher.nusbaum3. Joseph, where can I find
the BCT program to install? Please email me off list.

Chris

Hi,
Go to Options Menu/Support Information Mode, then press BACKSPACE with ER sign (CTRL with FUNCTION with E). Be aware that you need
to backup your stuff (which I'm sure you've done).
Cheers,
Joseph

settings?

Dear List,

I think one of you posted on how to do this before, but I got rid
of the post as it did not apply to me at the time.

I had to send my APEX back to get a key fixed.
In the mean time, I was using an APEX which was lent to me.
My APEX is back! Praise the Lord!!!

Now, I need to give back this APEX, but I want to make sure that
NONE of my personal information stays in the unit.
How do I clear everything out of it?

Please feel free to write me off list.

Thank you,

Frank M. Hernandez.

Hi List,

I'm not trying to freak out quite yet.

I was borrowing an APEX wile my APEX was away.

Today, I did a back up from the one I was borrowing and
everything restored fine to my APEX.
That is until I went looking for an e-mail...

My e-mail folders did not restore.
I already deleted everything from the APEX I was borrowing I
still have the SD card that I used to make the backup.
Is there any way I can check the SD card to see if my e-mails are
still there???

  Please help.

Thank you,

Frank M. Hernandez.

PS. Many of my e-mails are on messages or Bible study materials.

Hi all

Subject says it all really.

Would a backup on an MPower restore on an Apex? I'm about to get an Apex and I will need to transfer all my files from my MPower onto it.
Will the backup work?

Talk soon

Yes. However, I would not restore your connections configurations database since it will likely be formatted differently from what the apex is expecting. Everything else should be fine, though. Oh, if you happen to have a folder called Manual, rename it before restoring as
the keysoft manual on the apex is in a folder of that name.

In the sd card, go to directory in the file menu. Go to the keymail folder of your backup and view hidden files. If email folders.cdb is not there, look in the backed up keylist folder for the same file. If you find it, make a note of its size. Similarly, if you find email
folders.cdb in both locations, or even in the none folder of the
backup, note the sizes of any you find. You will want the largest one,
which was last modified the last time you worked with keymail.
Whichever that one was, rename your current email folders.cdb (in the keymail folder of the flash disk) then copy your backed up one to the keymail folder of your flash disk. I'm not sure if you need to, but once the copying is complete and you are back at the file manager menu (exit the directory item if you are still in it), do a normal reset.
Let us know how it goes, or if anything did not make sense.

Seeing as there was so much interest on this list regarding the Main Menu presentation about note takers, I figured I would post the link to a similar
recent Tek Talk presentation:
