Hi Nicky, I've been thinking the same thing. I clearly remember Humanware used to put out a message letting us know that the next upgrade is about to be released so if you don't have a current SMA you should buy one now. This way normally people had the chance to get a SMA before the release. With Jaws I try and keep up with my SMA's for it as well and they send you an email when you have used up your last count so you know to buy one so you will be ready for the next upgrade.
I'm not sure why Humanware didn't give us warning this time but I'm lucky I still had a count left. For those who still have an MPower they have just recieved their notice of an upgrade coming out for it soon so they can prepare for it. >From Shaz. Hi all, Obviously I'm delighted that we have a new upgrade, even though it's not exactly feature packed, and I personally will find the PDF features extremely useful. I was planning to go ahead and upgrade today, but I've discovered that I carelessly forgot to purchase an SMA after the last version was released. I was wondering, don't we usually get some information from Humanware when they're planning to release a new upgrade, so that we can make sure our SMA counts are up to date? Of course I understand that it makes financial sense for them to keep quiet about it and catch out people like me, and perhaps I'm just making feeble excuses for myself because I messed up! But personally I would have liked to be informed after the last upgrade if they were planning to change this prior notice policy. And that's the end of my mini-rant! Looking forward to upgrading, once I've had a chance to make the purchase.
