Also in that settings menu, check to make sure the recording volume is at something higher then 0.

Hi,
Go to Media Center/setup/recording options and check the default microphone
setting. It might have been switched to external mic.

Hi list. I just went to play back one of the messages stored in my memos folder and all I could hear was the hiss of the recorder. There was no audio voice. I tried two different recordings and then did a test
recording.  none of them worked.
I'm sure it was working before. Can anyone tell me what might have happened
or do you have any suggestions as to how I can put it right?

they're all the default settings, so far as I know.
