Hi List and Diane, My experience is that battery drain on my vn is about 4 percent daily if not used and without a cf card and about 8 percent daily with a cf card , but you need not keep the power on when the unit is not in use, just for the sake of the cf card. It does not need that to retain the stored data on the card.
I don't know whether the requirements for a micro drive are different. Regards Riana
