Thanks to someone on this list, I was able to get a serial cable from a
company called supply net.
I talked with someone at verizon today and he said he knew about the
braille note. He gave me instructions on how to set things up so I could
use my LG 4400 modem.
He tole me to set up the modem so it could use the serial cable. I had
already done this.
He gave me the number to dial, which was #777 or pound 777.
He gave me the logon name and password which are qnc. I guess that is what
it is for anyone dialing in to their internet.
He also gave me an initialization string if I needed it as well as telling
me to set the baud rate at 19200.
I don't see any way to enter this initialization string and don't really
know if I would need it; nor can I see any way to set the baud rate for the
serial port.
It is set as a haze compatible on com1.
Has anyone ever used a verizon phone with a bn and what did you do to get
it to work?
I haven't tried it yet as my wife has the phone.
