Hello all, I am the marketing coordinator for Pulse Data HumanWare. As my focus for the company is the blindness division, I subscribed to the mailing list to see what customers think of our products. I am enjoying reading all the posts.
The anti-spam e-mail that some of you received is legitimate. California has passed a very strict anti-spam law that goes into effect on January 1, 2004. Pulse Data HumanWare must be in compliance and that is why we are requesting permission to send e-mail to our customers. We tried to make it as simple as possible by having people reply or not rather than send them to a website and fill out a form. We are also aware that Congress recently passed anti-spam legislation which the President signed last week. Though the Federal legislation supersedes the State law, we felt it was better to be in compliance with the more stringent law. I hope this explanation helps. Happy Holidays to everyone!
