Speaking of battery information given in support mode, I wish the manual
gave more info about what readings might indicate a problem with the
battery, rather than our finding out through someone who talked to tech
support. It might be nice to have info in the manual about how to evaluate
our battery health based on the readings in support.
BTW, I think I mentioned that I've had my BN at work since April of
2001? I decided to see what reading I got under d of the support mode, and
it was 24 something. And that's after almost three years of use, eight
hours a day, five days a week, as a note taker. Yikes! My BN at home said
29 something under d when I first plugged it in this morning, and now it's
saying the last measured discharge was 22528. Hmmm. It's still plugged in
though; could that make a difference? Maybe I'd better do some more
experimenting with it; I can't believe I'd need a new battery after 14
months, but I guess anything's possible, huh?
