Keith and List,

I would suggest you use the printer port to emboss to a Braille Blazer. There are certainly fewer headaches and one can obtain a printer cable from most anywhere! One would not need to worry about setting up serial parameters and one wouldn't need a null modem cable for this purpose. I use the printer port on all of my braille embossers including the Blazer and it works fine with the BN.

I have a student who is trying to emboss to a Blazer from his serial port. He is using an RS232 cable. Not meaning to be dumb, but is a null modem cable different from the RS232? Btw, he got the BrailleNote used, and the null modem cable that comes with the unit seems to be missing.

Thanks for indulging me.

Keith
