Cookies are mainly used for websites where you have to log in every time you 
use the site.  If you log in, and choose to have the password stored in a 
password list, then a cookie is created to bypass the log in page.  They really 
do not take up much room, and, in fact, are useful, so clearing them isn't 
necessarily a good thing, but you can if you really do need space.  HTH, Laura
