Hi sandy yes first of all I carry the braille note over my right shoulder
so I read the braille with my right hand but if it rains I put the braille
note in my tuning bag. I know it's daft but I avoid going out in the rain
anyway if I can but as regards nocking the keys I stop this by pressing
space with dots one two three four five and six. this de-activates the keys
so as to-day on the bus I had the dog in the left hand well you know what I
mean and the braille note was set to tell me the road I was on. this is
done by pressing m followed by x I then kept looking at my destination by
pressing d. my destination was my bus stop in the middle of Leeds. I then
tracked the rail station and all went well. one worry is lack of use on
some trains so I am wondering if I should buy the sportrack gps receiver
which is a bit more accurate the only other worry is with my receiver
clipped on the top of my coat it is making me a bit vunerable as it looks
likd a mobile phone. I think I should invent a big hat for my big head so I
can put the receiver in the hat smile.
I think though it's a grate product and with time I am sure pdi will get
much more of a success in the uk. I am not sure if the american people have
better access to the maps over there as our maps are very out dated indeed.
hope that helps. all the best.
