If the device accepts plain ASCII over the serial line, yes. If the
device requires you to use either proprietary or binary transfer
protocols, such as Zmodem (+/- recovery), Ymodem (+/- 2G), Kermit or
Xmodem or any one of their varients, you can't. However, I think it's
fair to say that most devices which are capable of doing terminal file
transfer, including the BrailleLite 2000, don't enforce this requirement,
and that - for a device claimed to be as old as it is - you will enjoy
some luck. In the event you don't, or this is not clear, let me know and
we'll see what can be done or if your PC will get some use in the process
of the transfer.
