Hi, everyone,

Let me start by saying that I am an experienced user of Active Sync. I know
how to connect and have had unusually good luck doing it. Today I am having
a problem that is so strange that I don't quite know where to start. I had
downloaded several books from both Bookshare and NLS and I had good
intentions of connecting to Active Sync like always. When I tried to
connect, I got this weird message about there being no carrier and other
stuff that I can't remember. I then tried my husband's braille note and the
same thing happened. I then tried a reset on the Braille Note and a restart
on the computer and that didn't work, either. I called tech support and
even they are baffled. Now I'm not getting that weird message, but I still
can't get a connection. I've tried re-installing Active Sync and that
didn't help. So, as you can see, I've done all I can. I even tried the
braille terminal option and made sure that my cable was working. I had
never done that before so that was a new experience. All my check boxes are
checked or unchecked the way they're supposed to be. I really think that
it's something set wrong on my computer but I can't figure out for the life
of me what it is. If anyone has any thoughts on this, I sure would
appreciate some help. I can always use card readers, but it was really nice
being able to sync the computer and the BrailleNote and I was doing this
reliably until today.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Karen
