It is, I think it is a problem with the adaptor, is there a way to specify
the com port active sink uses?

Hi there. I also use a Laptop with a USB port and a USB/serial adaptor, and
ActiveSync works fine. I suspect what might be happening in this instance is
that because you've been using your BrailleNote as a Braille display, the
serial port is being used by your screen reader, so ActiveSync can't see it.
Be sure that your Braille display is disabled/unselected before getting
ActiveSync to find the port.
