Hi Bob, The m is a toggle and turns on/off automatic announcements. If you just want an announcement given when you press x, turn automatic announcements off. If you want the streets announced every few seconds, turn the automatic announcements on. Then, after you press x or whatever command you want repeated one time, it will be automatically announced every few seconds until you turn it off. Remember, there is an option to adjust the time intervals for the announcements.
One thing I did notice is that it's easy to have both streets and points-of-interests announced automatically. This can get confusing if there are a lot of points-of-interest, and the announcements can tend to cut each other off, especially if you're traveling in a car. I believe the command to turn off automatic announcements of poi's is control-p,so you may want to play around with this a bit to find out what works best for you in your environment. You can get information overload sometimes, but all in all, I really like the automatic announcements.
