Hi Andy and List, I agree with you about the portability of the bn. I just got my hardware upgrade and keysoft 5. I'm sitting at my parents' living room with the TV going reading and writing email quietly. AC power is difficult to access too. I do have the laptop with me and have used it for a couple of things I can't do with the bn. I went to a site where I needed to put more than the bn allows in a text field, so I had to use the laptop for that. I've also had trouble accessing msnbc. I get an email of daily headlines that contains links to the whole story. I tried pasting a link into the browser, but the pages usually don't load. I was able to do this with other sites, so my guess is that it's something to do with pop-ups on the site. Other than that, I've been able to do pretty much whatever I've wanted with the bn. I can't listen to streaming audio, but I'll wait till I'm back to my dsl connection to do that anyway. I like being able to be with the family and do whatever I want with the internet and email quietly and privately while still being able to interact with the family whenever I want. I don't have to bother people with my speech, go to another room or use headphones. It's great! I still wouldn't want to be without a pc, but at least I could leave the laptop for a few days at a time and still be connected. To those considering purchasing this device I say "Go for it!"
