Richard,

For bold, position the cursor at the start of the text you wish to appear in 
boldface, press ENTER with F (CTRL with T) for the Font Menu, B for bold, then 
N to turn it on.  Then move the cursor to the end of the text you wish to print 
in bold, press ENTER with F (CTRL with T), type B, and F to turn it off.  Make 
sure you have a printer type other than Standard selected in the Printer Setup 
Menu.

In case you or someone else also asks, to italicize a block of text, follow the 
same steps, but pressing I for italics once in the Font Menu.  A list of font 
types for the type of printer selected in Printer Setup can be found in the 
corresponding file in the Printers folder of the Keysoft Systems Disk.
