Bob,

Since PDI switched over to the mailman server, the mailing list became a "real"
mailing list. With the other list, each time someone replied to a msg, a new
thread was created. For instance, someone may have created a thread called
[braillenote] HELP! Someone may have replied to that and a new thread would
have been started called [braillenote] RE: help! Still another person may have
replied to that and forgotten to erase the braillenote header and created a
thread called RE: [braillenote] RE: help! Aaaaa! This can make searching for
things in the archives rather hard.

With the new list serv, the changes to the subject line are added to the front
rather than behind the header "braillenote". In the subject above, you will
see that it is "manuals - re: [braillenote] tutorials", which is how most
mailing lists work. And, for instance, if you had wished to change the subject
of this email to reflect its content, such as "headers", the email subject line
would appear, headers - manuals - RE: [braillenote] tutorials. I'm sorry I
really don't know any other way to describe it at all lol. Maybe someone else
can make it more clear. HTH, Laura

"Neither of us [Yoko and I] want to make the mistake that Gandhi and Martin
Luther King did, which is get killed one way or the other. Because people only
like dead saints, and I refuse to be a saint or a martyr." (John Lennon, 1969)
