Hallo Listers,
I have learned a valuable lesson in the past few days. When the Braillenote
says error receving email winsock error 10057 it means (anyway for me) that the
Braillenote got stuck on a particular email and my Internet service provider
has to delete that email from their server. I know I spelled receiving wrong
but that's how it appears in this particular error message.
Someone asked about my wireless broadband with the Braillenote. First off I DO
NOT have a wireless card or some software installed. I have the Etheernet card
from PDI attached to a Cat 5 cable and that's attached to a router. The ISP
set up an antennae of some sort outside on one of my window sills (I live in
the tropics so it won't get damaged by ice or snow) and the Braillenote gets
the Internet access and email from the router or the Etheternet card or
something. The interesting thing was I did a hard reset and the Ip was static
whatever that means. I was surprised when the wireless capabilities worked
again after doing the hard reset. I am also going to get dial up service from
the same ISP for a backup plan in case something happens with the wireless
broad band. Luckily I could still use my router for this since it has phone
jacks. The phone lines are awful in Guam so I'd have to get what is called
fixed wireless from my ISP which would give me a nice clear dial!
tone to make dial up run more smoothly.
Now I apologize but I believe the ISP deleted the nice email that Roselle was
kind enough to send with the instructions for reading the first email in
contracted Braille. I would appreciate it if Roselle could email me those
instructions privately or to the list. Thank you for your time and your
assistance. I have Keysoft 5.0 and a Braillenote BT model in case anyone was
wondering.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Thank you for your help and your time in advance.

Lisa
