If the Blazer is online, then make sure that he has the right settings for port, and if he's using the serial port, then the right settings for BAUD rate, parity, stop bit, and handshaking (the first and the last one being most important). If that still doesn't work, detach the BN from the BrailleNote and reset both devices, then connect and try again. If that still doesn't nail it, replace the cable, it's probably the culprit.
