Hi richard,

On 17 Apr 2004 at 5:48, richard Van Driel spoke, thus:

Exercise braille display. As discussed in chapter 2 of the User guide,
press X from the support information mode. Press help to learn how to
control the exercise process.

I may as well add that you only get the "Battery test successful" message,
it seems, if:
1. There is still enough battery power to sustain both the clock and
BrailleNote's memory. You can never drain it *completely*; there's always
a bit of current left in the battery even when BN's power management turns
the thing right off. This is simple to prove - when the BN is finally
"Run out", press reset. You'll hear the reset beep, but your BrailleNote
will not start to speak and will know longer remember its statistics when
plugged in. You may even have drained away the last of the current to
cause the clock to reset.

2. This only happens during the spoken message (which I'm sure many of
you notice has a spelling error in it). For the braille display, it's
quite possible, even likely, that when you plug the unit in it will resume
its tortured clicking of braille cells.

Cheers,
Sabahattin
