Desi:
I've been posting quite a bit in the past few days on this subject, but
I'll try to do so again. As I think sometimes posts get berried in the
larger traffic.

First, yes, you can connect the braillnote/voicenote to your cell phone, but
it takes some finaggling. You need to order the phone to serial cable for
your particular model of phone. I use a Sanyo SCP 4700 and had to search
the web for older accessories in order to find it. Second, your Cellular
carrier may charge you an extra fee for use of data across your phone though
this fee is somewhat suspect. Sprint PCS charges $5.00 for "Sprint Vision"
service. I have been paying this fee, but in the last couple of months, I
removed this particular service and am still able to connect with seemingly
the same speeds. Now, that you have your particular cable connected between
your phone and the Braille note, you need to set up your directory of
services entry. You need to set your port to serial using Hayes Compatible.
You don't need to set any other settings accept for those required by your
ISP/Email service carrier. Make sure you put your phone number entry in
with 10 digits and don't use a leading 1. Simply go to the email menu and
press C to connect then select the entry for your cellular connection. You
will here "Connected", then "Logging in" and the "Connected. The system
should then go through its normal email sequences. Once completed, make
sure you tell the Braille note that you want to disconnect from the modem
when you're given that choice and then I always manually disconnect the
phone as well by pressing the end button. If you have any other questions,
please feel free to contact me off list at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

For the rest of the list, sorry if this is seeming repetitive, but I keep
seeing the same question come up and feel that this is a very useful feature
of the braillenote.
