Hi, I agree with the suggestion raised about having power locks for keeping the
machine switched off or switched on, but would also like locks for the thumb
keys. There are occasions when I knock the up and down thumb keys when only
wanting to use the left and right ones.

On a totally diffelent note, I'm having trouble with my cursor routing keys.
They are either full of dust which even a cloth doesn't seem to unclog them or
they need replacing but, I seem to have to lress really hard to get any
reaction from them and that sometimes doesn't help. The way I can get around
this, but it is tedious and slows me down, is to use the find search - I would
much rather use the routing keys! It costs so much to repair and replace things
on these machines and, we in the UK don't get Maintenance and Repair warranties
like you do in the US! I only had the pins replaced about a year ago! Even
though I am not in full time employment any more, I am a very heavy user each
day of my BN 32.

Another problem I have, and this maybe just me, is that I write very fast and
sometimes the machine jumps either back to the beginning of a paragraph or to
the beginning of the email. Can Pulsedata do anything to the machine's software
or hardware to try to eradicate this please?

Cheers and thanks for any help, Steve

>Subject: [Braillenote] Suggestion For A Power Switch Lock

>Dear List,
>This is a suggestion for a power switch lock for the BrailleNote in the off
>position. There are times when I find my BrailleNote on at the end of a
>trip, when I know that the power switch was switched off at the beginning of
>my trip. Indeed, traveling with the BrailleNote switched on could lead to
>unpredictable results, including the loss of data.

>Related to this suggestion is a second suggestion for a power switch lock
>for the Braillenote in the on position. There are times, especially when
>traveling in a car, when the BrailleNote could be accidently switched off.
>This too could lead to unpredictable results, including the loss of data.

>Note that some laptops do have switch locks, for good reason.

>Sincerely,
>Jerry Weinger
