Jeff, If you're running version 4.01 or later on your BN, then
1) press SPACE with O (FUNCTION with O) to enter the Options Menu. 2) Type SPACE with I (READ with I) to go into the Support Information Mode. 3) Type X to start the Braille Display exercise. For ten cycles, the rows of dots will be exercised starting from dots 1-4 to dots 7-8. Next, for 4 cycles, the columns of dots, beginning with 1-2-3-7 of the first cell and ending with 4-5-6-8 of the last cell, will be exercised. And then all pins will be raised. This is where you should press ENTER to pause the exercise and keep them raised for cleaning. 4) If the movement is too fast for you, then press the PREVIOUS thumb key to slow down the exercise (pressing the NEXT thumb key speeds it up). You can continue with the exercise by pressing ENTER again to un-pause, or exit with SPACE with E (ESCAPE). If you're running Keysoft version 3.xx (not sure if the Braille display exercise is available in v4.0), then create a Keyword Braille file. Type 18 or 32 6-dot whole cells (the "for" contraction) (depending on the length of the display), and route the cursor (appearing as dots 7-8) on each cell as you clean them individually. Sorry, this is the only way I can think of for versions that do not have the Braille display exercise.
