Use a reader to view the cf card on your computer, and wipe the entire back
up directory that way.

Subject: [Braillenote] backups are forever

Unfortunately, I don't backup as often as I should. But, I do do it
occasionally. Once I've got a couple of full backups, I would like to get
rid of the older ones.

The problem is, I can't do it easily. I can go to the file menu, to the
directory, find the desired backup folder (or directory) and press backspace
with dots 1-4. Some stuff gets erased, but then it says the directory is
not empty. Then I have to go into each subdirectory and try to erase it.

The protected files are time consuming because you get questioned about each
of them and have to answer yes to each. Then, there's the hidden files,
they have to be exposed and deleted one at a time. Then there's the history
file which is both protected and hidden. Since there's no way to unhide a
file, you have to get out of your directory structure altogether, go into
the file protection menu, unprotect the history file, go back to your
directory, don't forget to unhide your files so you can see the history
file, and <breathe a sigh of relief> delete that pesky file. Finally, once
every file and subdirectory is deleted, then you can erase the backup
folder.

I am worn out just writing all the steps down here.

There's got to be a better way. Does anyone know a quick way of deleting
backup files?

Thanks,
Bob

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey
I asked for health, that I might do greater things
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things
I asked for riches, that I might be happy
I was given poverty, that I might be wise
I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life
I was given life that I might enjoy all things
I got nothing that I asked for--but everything I had hoped for
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am, among all men, most richly blessed. ATTRIBUTION: Author unknown.
